Dumb-bell Lake - Snowy Gorge Creek, 21 - 23 March 2015
Starting at the Glen Mary Ski Club on the shore of Lake Ohau, we walked the Te Araroa Trail then up Freehold Creek and over the tops to Dumb-bell Lake and to Maitland Hut in Maitland Stream.
On Sunday after a front had come through we walked to the head of Maitland Stream and over a low saddle into Snowy Gorge Creek and to Snowy Gorge Hut.
On Monday, over the tops again into the head of the Ahuriri River East Branch, then over into Freehold Creek and back to where we'd started.
