Annick Peak - Mount Eglinton, 28 May - 2 June 2020
28 May: Nocturnal paddle from the Eglinton River mouth to Camp Bay. Without a moon, gliding on the calm waters of Lake te Anau in complete darkness and silence was a surreal experience.
29 May: Camp Bay to End Peak.
30 May: Traverse of Annick Peak, then along the tops to a tarn on the slopes of Mount Eglinton.
31 May: Ascent of Mount Eglinton to enjoy the views, then back and down to a campsite below Pt 1632m.
1 June: Return to Camp Bay via low route.
2 June: Early morning paddle back to the Eglinton River mouth on a rough lake in a building up nor'west.

Annick Peak from the north. James McKerrow surveyed and named the prominent rocky peak visible above Lake Te Anau, Pt 1556m. When the name was gazetted, it was assigned to the incorrect spot-height, which is currently labelled 'Annick Peak' on the topographic maps.
